The Savoy is usually my first choice in Blackpool because it is cheap but comfortable. It has a tram stop right outside the door, some of the rooms have a sea view, there are lovely stained glass windows in the stairwell, it's nice and warm, and the beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are rather variable but the one I had this time was nice. My stay started badly when I could not get into the room I had been allocated because of a problem with the lock, but the nice man on reception came up with a key for the room next door and put me in there instead, and it was a bigger room, so this turned what was shaping up to be a very annoying experience into a big plus. Oh, and next morning I saw a locksmith fixing the lock next door, so well done for being on top of that.

All the Staff were amazing, friendly and informative..The room was clean and fresh....We had bed , breakfast and evening meal,we only paid £113 for two of us,so wasn't expecting much but the food was lovely ,good choice and plenty of it both at dinner and breakfast...,and we didn't have to pay for parking neither..😊.The dining room staff were friendly and worked very hard .. reception staff were welcoming and informative, don't believe all the bad reviews,we were a little apprehensive about going but we were pleasantly surprised, yes the furniture is slightly old fashioned, but it goes with the theme of the hotel and it did the job..our bathroom was modern with a lovely jacuzzi style bath...

Great value for money Great location Easy check in/check out Very clean Great breakfast providing continental and buffet style full English breakfast Staff very helpful and very friendly Stayed in a basic room which still had all facilities ie bathroom had soap, shower gel, hand and bath towels , Room had tissues, kettle, cups, decent tea, coffee and milk, vanity desk, good hairdryer with decent mirror and lighting, wardrobe with hangers, extra pillows, ironing board and iron. The hotel is old and a listed building but has character and staff have pride in it and it is kept exceptionally clean . Would stay again without hesitation.

Breakfast was plenty. Scrambled egg a bit over done and no mushrooms. First room we had was not deserving of the price. Window handles broken off so you couldn't open them. Everything is a little pokey for the price I paid. Staff were very happy to exchange rooms and glad we did as this was a lovely spacious room with proper sea views. Very happy. Staff were very helpful with anything I asked for, thankyou. The hotel itself has fantastic ceilings and light fittings, colourful stained windows and nicely carpeted through out, so fitting with an olde named hotel. We enjoyed our stay here.

Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Location is close enough to the ‘touristy’ parts of Blackpool, but far enough away so it is quiet at night. There are some really pretty areas including a small garden with a water feature and some rocks/cliffs which are really nice to sit near to take in the sights. Tram and bus stops are right outside the hotel, as well as a few local shops and a pub. Breakfast was delicious and had lots of variety. Overall, we had a great stay and we really enjoyed our trip to Blackpool.
