Food and drinks in The Savoy Hotel
Lounge or bar in The Savoy Hotel
Property building in The Savoy Hotel
The hotel is very easy to find with a carpark to the front of the building and free on road parking around the side if required, there is also a very large pay and display carpark available as a last resort, it is overlooking the roundabout at Gynn Square, and is 1.3 miles from the Tower but there are trams and busses running past the hotel on a regular basis. The Reception staff were out of this world and made us all feel welcome. We arrived about 12.00, as the rooms weren't available until 15.00 and we were advised that we could use the hotel facilities while we waited, no drinks available though, there was a coffee machine but no cups, there was a cold drinks vending machine next to reception (£2.40 for a bottle of water). When we arrived in the rooms 214 was smaller than room 217 but both with double beds, En-Suite, TV and Tea/Coffee making facilities in both rooms, I tried to close the window due to blustery winds (217), the key was missing from the lock but they immediately replaced the handle and locking mechanism with no fuss. The breakfast was exceptional, it was a Buffet style breakfast with loads of adequate seating space, everything that we all could expect. We`re not vegetarians so can`t comment on this, I didn`t see any kippers or porridge but I`ve no doubt that they would have fulfilled any requests, there is an automatic Toaster and are Coffee/Tea/Hot Water Machines. The chef was an absolute delight and fun to be around, he really did make us all feel welcome, we all enjoyed everything on offer. If you go to this hotel, we strongly recommend the evening meal, it was £17.50 each but it was a 3 course buffet style meal where you could eat as much as you wanted, I had the Spicy (not too much Spice) cauliflower soup, there was a choice of Roast beef, Fish Cakes and Cauliflower Cheese Bake with all the usual vegetables and gravy etc. I also had the Jam Roly Poly with Custard, mmmm Delicious.

Good location for seeing illuminations. On tram route for ready access to town. Also walked in - about 20 mins. Was there on a dancing weekend. Food was self- service reasonable choice at evening meal. Good selection at breakfast. Both meals piping hot. Staff very pleasant throughout hotel. Bar prices reasonable. Good parking. Ironing board and iron in room a definite plus. Plenty of tea/coffee/milk available at reception. Just across road from beach.

After reading the reviews I was very sceptical but try it yourself you will definitely be surprised , we wasn’t disappointed at all , yes it does need updating but for £117 for 6 adults , 3 rooms for 1 night it was fantastic value , rooms were clean , tidy and comfortable with everything you needed The staff we saw were friendly, the bar is very reasonably priced , we had a lovely stay , would we go again yes definitely

The Savoy was excellent value for money even though it was the Blackpool Airshow weekend. Its location is right next to the beach. The lady on reception was really helpful and gave us our favourite room.

The location was good, staff were very helpful. Hotel room was clean and had a bath in our room. Really enjoyed our stay. Would definitively recommend.
